9th April ’17: Triumvirate of colour

Happy scorching Sunday, folks ☀️☀️.
I’m big into orange at the moment, or, more specifically, mandarin and tangerine. 🍊🍊🍊I reckon we’re all going to be lapping up these pale, chalky orange hues in a big way in the next year in both interiors and fashion (well, I am at least – plans are afoot for a tangerine explosion at The Colour File HQ in the not too distant future). At @westfieldlondon on Friday evening I spotted some orange, pleasingly matched with pink and yellow (I barely had to do any rearranging @zarahome and @marksandspencer…). My pleasure at seeing these groupings has got me thinking about clusters of colours and I’ve come to the conclusion that for me, a triumvirate of colour, three happily bossing it together, is optimal. Pink, green and purple; orange, yellow and pink (a throwback from the months I spent in India. If you’ve been there you’ll know what I mean). Ah, the stuff that pure joy is made of (PS these fabulous clogs were in @oxfamchiswick. Snap them up while you can). Anyway, I’m off to stare at the blue sky and continue my colour journeying.
