7th May ’17: Colours to soothe the soul

Happy Sunday, folks.
It’s that time again – Chiswick car boot day. As someone who is prone to get a tad blue, I find there’s nothing more fortifying than a mooch around a boot sale or flea market. Today is one of those days. It’s not just other people’s unwanted treasures that lift my spirits: the colours I discover there do, too. Since starting this blog, I’ve realised – through the curating of beautiful things, connecting with amazing colour-loving folks like you and mining my past for life-defining colour-related moments – how important colour can be to emotional health and wellness. It certainly is to mine. This is something I’m getting really excited about investigating further. Later today I’ll be sharing another colour influencer Q&A with you, this time the fantabulous @chloelovestoshop. I’ve loved reading what she has to say about colour and I hope you will, too. In the meantime, here are some pleasingly round objects from today’s boot sale. My second-in-command doesn’t like circles and curves – they are a challenge to his aesthetic sensibilities (don’t get him started on the modern London Routemaster: too curvy, apparently). Anyway, I hope they give you some joy at least. See you later.
