When I was a kid I loved stories or rhymes that contained or conjured up images of colour: Lavender’s Blue, The Owl & The Pussy Cat, The Land of Counterpane.
Oranges and Lemons always got me thinking that if I went to East London, I’d see church spires in pale orange and pastel yellow and I secretly longed to see them for myself (I would, of course, have been disappointed).
To this day, when I see orange and yellow together I think of this. What do you think of when you see these colours together?
