Early last year, I remember watching The Women’s March on TV and loving the sea of pink hats and strident placards. The March happened the day after Trump’s inauguration and was a worldwide protest about women’s rights. I’m not sure where I was that day and why I wasn’t wearing a ‘pussy hat’ but I do know that seeing the footage reminded me of how positive and empowering hot pink can be. Yesterday, in bright and chilly Brooklyn, I also got to wear my friend Miriam’s hat that she wore on the march and I swear it’s given me a boost of feisty girl power (that and trying on this @zadigetvoltaire shocking pink beauty). The world definitely needs more hot pink, don’t you think?
