16 May 18: Finding my colour tribe

Have you found your tribe? No? Keep looking: it’s worth it, I tell you.

In fact, I’m discovering that finding others who are as bonkers about the same passion as me is surely one of life’s greatest joys. Since starting The Colour File last year, I have, for the first time, met others who can also spend days talking about paint colour names, stroking wallpaper and fabric samples and debating the merits of ultramarine and never, ever tire of it. There have been times when I thought it was just me who cries over colour and whose bedtime reading is paint cards. Apparently not. My new colour tribe tells me so. For me, finding my tribe has been (and continues to be – I’ve not finished yet, oh no) life-affirming and pacifying and a process that feels like coming home after an epic solo pilgrimage (which is how I felt when I met some of my tribe, new and newer, at the Pulse show yesterday). I hope you’ve found yours, too. Don’t give up 😘
