25 April 18: Light blue Thames plastic

Hello, folks. Here’s light blue in the ‘Thames rubbish’ series.

Again, I’m enjoying the ‘disappearing’ objects and also the brightness of the contrasting colours, like yellow, against the blue. In January, Teresa May, UK PM, said, “In the UK alone, the amount of single-use plastic wasted every year would fill 1,000 Royal Albert Halls”. As I always say, the fact I can, in pretty much any plastic recce, find whatever colour I want is testament to the shameless abundance of the stuff on our beaches and waterways. Definitely time for us to take the whole thing seriously. Have a great (plastic-free) day.
