29 April 18: Yellow Thames plastic

Morning, my colour-loving friends.

Now, I don’t know what it is but there’s something about this yellow Thames plastic picture that I’m finding amusing. The bright brashness is making me think of kids’ TV and scrambled eggs (errr, ok…..). Apparently, men see it as a colour that’s not to be taken too seriously: they associate it with lightheartedness and children. But it may be no surprise to learn that in branding it’s an ideal colour for advertising things that are leisure- or kid-related. If you’ve watched any of my stories this week (see bio) you’ll know I’ve had yellow in my mind and was thrilled to find it in abundance at the @madedotcom Summer 18 Press event (punchy chartreuse was everywhere. This is SUCH good news). What are YOUR thoughts on yellow?
