A while back I talked about Marrs green.
For those of you who don’t know it, it’s a teal/blue-green that’s apparently the world’s favourite colour. As a colour-lover, I’m always fascinated to overhear people’s colour conversations. The most depressing was a discussion in a department store over two beige fabrics. Honestly, it took all the power I could muster not to intervene and say ‘No! No! WHAT are you THINKING?!?!!’. However, I have to say that not once, as I’ve slunk around fabric shops and interiors stores like the Pink Panther, have I heard anyone say anything bad about teal. In branding, it’s seen as trustworthy and sophisticated so maybe it is capable of engendering these feelings in people when they choose homewares, too. I’m not the biggest fan but then I am something of a colour freak. What are your thoughts on teal?
