11 June 18: Welsh girl called Myfanwy

When I was about nine, I dressed up in a traditional Welsh costume to sell programmes at a St David’s Day concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I looked pretty much like this doll that I found at last week’s car boot sale (top left). At the end of the night, we were allowed to take some of the gazillion daffodils home with us so I filled my apron with them (and subsequently filled the house). Have you ever worn a national costume and, if so, what for?
