6 July 18: Sweet pea shelfie

Ah, sweet peas! What’s not to love?

When I bought these the other day, the first thing I did was bury my nose deep into them to lap up their scent (so did the florist, which made me feel slightly less bonkers). Apparently, sweet peas got their first mention in a poem by Keats, ‘I stood tip-toe upon a little hill’. How cool to earn your name through the medium of poetry!
