Welcome to the weekend, folks.
I thought I’d show you another of my favourite corners at Colour File HQ. I chose the pink tiles from @wallsandfloorsearly last year, around the time I started writing my blog and before I had you lovely lot to encourage and support my choices. I remember the builder opening the box, clocking the colour, rubbing his chin and saying ‘Well, it’s your choice…’ He was especially cynical because I’d ordered the lot without getting a sample, but you know when you just know? I had a vision of a modern take on Art Deco lines and colours and just NEEDED to see it through. I teamed these pink Covent Garden beauties (£21.95 per sq m so super-cheap) with black and white tiles from @toppstiles (without the edging – I felt it would be too ‘Victorian’ for the look I was after) and each day I go in there I’m thrilled I didn’t let anyone change my mind. Even the builder admitted that it worked (‘…though not in my bathroom,’ he added. Fair enough). Recently, I saw that the guys from @2lgstudio have a pink bathroom, too, (see below) so I feel complete style vindication (I really couldn’t be in better company). What are your thoughts on coloured tiles? And what shade do you dream of putting in your home?
