17 September 18: Argos Home Shelfies

Good morning, folks, and welcome to a new week.

What did you get up to over the weekend? I spent yesterday in shelfie heaven, doing a styling workshop for @argoshome – a Sunday doesn’t come much better than that for me, I tell you. I love doing these workshops. I’m evangelical about shelves and shelfie styling (I know, maybe I do need to get out more…) and love to help people out of their storage jams and conundrums by suggesting how they can organise their space better. But it’s not just a one-way street: whenever I do workshops, I get insight into people’s lives and how there may be obstacles to be overcome (how to organise a shelf with a partner who is minimalist to your maximalist, for example, coping with a ‘sharing shelf’ arrangement like @mariyoula here or making a bookcase of row upon row of shelves more visually interesting). Being let into people’s lives in this way is a privilege because it’s about psychology and relationships, not just the subjects of colour, space, shape and form that lie at the heart of shelfie styling. Absolutely fascinating. If you’d like to take part in a shelfie styling workshop, please do let me know. I have some exciting events in the pipeline in collaboration with some fab people and I just KNOW you’ll love them. In the meantime, don’t forget to sign up for the other @argoshome pop-up events this week (I did the macrame one last week and it was ACE) ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
