Last year I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous @sewdarnsassy Christmas wreath in an Insta competition. I kept her on display for several months after December because I couldn’t bear to be parted from her multicoloured gloriousness. I finally relented (largely because I found other colourful objects to fill HQ with joy) and now I’m glad I did because I was SO excited to see her again when we were reunited the other day. Second-in-command laughed openly and heartily (at me, not with me, you understand)when I said objects often have personalities (that’s why I have his previously beloved but now rejected teddy in bed with me – he has feelings, don’t you know?) I can’t help it: I very often see things that way. Colours, shapes and textures turn the inanimate into animate and give them a life beyond just their material selves. Happy to be alone on this one because, technically, I’m not. I’m perpetually in the company of subjectified objects 😆Have a great day.
