Sending you happy vibes from a sunny Sunday ☀️☀️☀️
One of the first things I see when I wake up each day is this cluster of pictures above my bed.
There’s a tiny vintage bag I bought in Peru and had framed, a mesmerising Welsh landscape by @paulwestart and a small but perfectly formed marine litter pic by @smartie_lids_on_the_beach
They all bring me great joy. The flower picture (top right) was painted by Marie Louise Reis, my mum’s art teacher from school who fled Nazi Germany just before war was declared.
When I think if her, I remember her asking my mum, in her thick German accent, when I was a teenager, ‘Why does Martha always dress like a widow?’ (I think I’ve made up for it on the coloured clothing front since then).
