Does anyone else out there like doing the shelfie shuffle?
Although it sounds like something you’d do on Strictly Come Dancing in a red sequinned dress, it is, in actual fact, an interiors pursuit.
Shelfie shuffling is generally sparked by a new possession and the desire to put it to work straight away. At Colour File HQ it goes something like this.
- Buy something new then squeal with joy.
- Clear all objects off shelves like there’s no tomorrow.
- Rush around looking for other objects that will work brilliantly with your new acquisition.
- Arrange them on the empty shelves, fiddling and faffing for a while before standing back to admire your handiwork.
That’s exactly what happened when my new alphabet print arrived from @eleanorbowmer yesterday (centre left, next to card from @kcroxson ). It kick-started a multicoloured shelfie shuffle of my favourite things as soon as it came out of its packaging. Chaotic fun.
Tell me – are you a shelfie shuffler?
